Learning Session on Elections, Gender Equality, and Institutional Development at UNDP

Participated in an insightful UNDP Student Ambassadors learning session focused on elections, gender equality, governance, and institutional development.

UNDP

As part of the UNDP Student Ambassadors journey, I participated in an insightful learning session at the UNDP office focused on elections, gender equality, governance, and institutional development.

The session brought together student ambassadors and professionals for a meaningful discussion on how governance, inclusion, and institutional learning contribute to sustainable development.

It was a valuable experience because it helped me understand the connection between youth participation and stronger democratic systems. The session also highlighted the importance of gender equality, civic awareness, and inclusive institutions in shaping a society where more people can take part in decision-making and development.

What stood out to me most was the reminder that change does not only begin with big platforms or positions. It also begins with awareness, learning, participation, and action.

Being in that space helped me learn from professionals, connect with fellow student ambassadors, and reflect on the role young people can play in building stronger communities and institutions.

This experience added another important layer to my journey — not only as a creative technologist, but also as a young person learning how governance, inclusion, and community impact connect to the future of South Sudan.
