In June 2025, I shared progress on building the Aweil News Agency web platform, a dedicated space for news and stories from Aweil and across South Sudan.
At the time, the platform was still under development, but it had already started taking shape as a meaningful digital project.
This project meant a lot to me because it was not just another website. It was a platform designed to support storytelling, local news, and digital publishing in South Sudan.
Building it helped me continue growing as a web designer and developer, especially in areas like layout design, responsive pages, content structure, and creating a platform that could serve real people and real information needs.
The work also reminded me that digital products become more valuable when they solve local problems and give communities better ways to share stories, updates, and information.
Aweil News Agency became part of my journey of using design and technology to build platforms that are useful, accessible, and connected to South Sudanese communities.
